It is easy to say that individuality is a theme which links the characters who’ve built Llangrannog and come from here.

The village was first formed in the 5th century around a hermit who didn’t want to be a king. His legacy is as a saint.

Llangrannog’s most famous citizen, Sarah Janes Rees, followed her heart doing what she wanted and knew what was right, only to be included on the 100 Welsh Women list recognising her contributions to Wales.

And, the Urdd. Founded from a family passionate about restoring Welsh culture and improving lives in Wales by improving education, this institution is over 100 years old. It organises one of the largest youth festivals in Europe.

Not bad for a seaside village with only 759 people living here, right?

And there are still more stories. Our audio walking tour of Llangrannog has six stops and over 40 minutes of audio.

You can access the audio and map for 24 hours when you rent a tour. There’s no need to download anything to listen to the audio – stream it from your phone! You also don’t need to switch between apps, as all the necessary information is in one spot. If you have a larger group, everyone can log in with your login details to listen to the audio on their phones – like a silent disco!

We hope you enjoy your time and learn something. If you have any questions about what you hear or anything you see in town, please email in. We’d be happy to share more information. We’ve done bags of research to bring this tour to you. We can share our sources with you, or we’ll do what we can to answer your questions. Check out our F.A.Q.s if you have any questions before getting started.
