Tregaron walking tour
Tregaron may well hold the rightful claim to being the only place in Wales where an elephant is buried!
Tregaron was also home to one of the wealthiest banks in Wales. Long before the days when central government held power, banks printed their own money. Local drovers who brought all manner of livestock from here all the way to London had more faith in the Black Sheep Bank with its Black Sheep promissory notes than the Bank of England currency!

The map also contains images of what some of the landmarks look like. A castle is pretty easy to identify. But a house in a row of terraces, for instance, is more challenging to identify the right one!
